The Blade Balance Chair is built from a set of strong, unlikely shapes that somehow settle into each other with ease. The curved blue metal sheets do most of the visual work first, giving the wooden armchair its sense of movement and lightness, while the teak seat, back, and triangular legs bring in warmth and fix the form to the ground. That contrast is sharp, but not cold. The hand-painted plant motifs on the wood soften the geometry without making it decorative in any easy way. They feel quietly placed, almost incidental.
