The Beaten Moon- Hanging Light

Beaten Moon Pendant is built around a strong, simple contrast. A dark teak cylinder runs straight through the centre, while the beaten brass arc hangs below it in a broad, open curve. The brass catches the eye first because of its hand-worked surface, marked by small, regular hammering that gives this hanging pendant light movement without making it busy. Then the red interior begins to show itself, tucked behind the brass and at the end of the teak, which shifts the piece away from anything purely rustic. The composition feels controlled and slightly unexpected. Each material holds its own, and the curve has real weight to it.
