Shambhor Totem is composed as a vertical sequence of signs, each one distinct, yet held in a very controlled line. The body is carved in solid oak and finished in a muted grey that lets the form speak before the symbolism does. You notice the crescent first, then the rudraksh-like detailing around the head, the tilak at the centre, and below that the stylised face of Nandi. What keeps the home decor artifact from feeling overly literal is the way these references are reduced into shape, curve, and interval. Even the small red accent is used with restraint. The result feels ceremonial, but also sharply composed, with each carved element given enough space to hold its own.
