Penthouse interior styled with Casa Carigar furniture

A marketplace built onquiet conviction.

Est. 2024 · Delhi
From India, with intention.

Casa Carigar is an editorial marketplace for some of India's most considered furniture and decor studios. We choose the makers we believe in, photograph their work the way it deserves, and place it in front of the rooms that would have missed it. Less is more. These are the more.

II · The numbers

A year in, this is what the marketplace looks like on a quiet Tuesday.

III · Why a marketplace

Most of India’s best furniture is
still made one room at a time.

A karigar in Saharanpur can carve a teak console with the patience of someone who has done it for thirty years. He does not have an Instagram. By the time three generations of intent reach a buyer in Bombay or Boston, the price has doubled, the credit has vanished, and the bench has been tagged "tropical inspired."

Casa Carigar sits in the middle of that distance. The makers get what they deserve — paid fairly, named openly, and credited in the language of the room. India loses too much of its heritage to globalisation. Casa Carigar exists in part to slow that loss. Their names sit on every product page. We resist the urge to translate baithak as "bench." It is not a bench. It is a baithak.

IV · The people behind it

Casa Carigar was started by Aryaman Arya and Parth Dogra, people who could not find a marketplace that treated Indian makers the way they treated their work.

Aryaman Arya

Aryaman Arya

Founder · Chief Executive Officer

Works across real estate, lab-grown diamonds, and AI, and comes to furniture from the Arya family and the Karamchand Group. He reads a room by its details. Indian design deserves the same infrastructure and seriousness as the craft itself. He built Casa Carigar to give it that.

Indian craft doesn't need preservation. It needs systems.
Parth Dogra

Parth Dogra

Co-Founder · Chief Operating Officer

Originally trained in law, Parth chose to pursue his passion for design, earning advanced education in interior and contract design in Milan. This unconventional journey has given him a unique perspective, blending analytical design thinking with creative problem solving. His international exposure has shaped Casa Carigar’s philosophy of creating products and experiences that are globally relevant while remaining deeply rooted in Indian craftsmanship. Passionate about design innovation, materiality and creating timeless products that embody quiet luxury, he believes technology should enhance creativity rather than replace it.

Every dimension is a decision.
Akshay Dhiman

Akshay Dhiman

Chief Technology Officer

Agency-trained and startup-forged. Spent six years shipping product at Brucira — the agency behind ruttl, Dream11, and Razorpay's consumer tools — before co-founding BharatFD as CTO, building India's first multi-bank fixed deposit platform end to end. Led technology and internal AI tooling at ZESTLY, where the platform generated over a hundred thousand assets in under a year. At Casa Carigar, he builds the infrastructure that connects 30+ makers to every room: the catalogue, the AI, and every layer in between.

Ship the first version. The second one is where the craft begins.
V · What we believe

Six small convictions, held
loudly enough to do the work.

01

Provenance, not vibes

Every product names its maker, its city, its material. No "designed in" sleight of hand.

02

Less, but more often

Fewer studios per year, by design. Each visited before it is listed.

03

The makers get what they deserve

Paid fairly. Named openly. The float is the marketplace's problem, not theirs.

04

Photographs that hold up

Natural light. Real rooms. No styled minimalism.

05

AI in service of taste

CasaAI proposes; you decide. The model never invents a product that does not exist.

06

Made in India, fully

Timber from Mysuru, brass from Moradabad. Imports stay rare.
