Hanumant Hridayam- Pooja Unit

Hanuman Hridayam- Pooja Unit begins with the arch. It gives the piece its devotional character immediately, though the form stays pared back and architectural. The pale leafed surface has a muted, powdery look, which keeps the finish gentle rather than gleaming. Across it, "Rama" repeats in red, almost like a field of marks, with the Hanuman motif placed low on the front panel and a red circular pull set near the centre. The contrast is striking but still disciplined. Then your eye drops to the turned teak legs, which bring in warmth and a slightly more traditional hand, grounding the cooler finish above.
