Ant Table begins with a very clean silhouette, then breaks it with wit. The long white form is spare and architectural, but its surface is scattered with irregular cork insets that read like a trail or a map in fragments. Across that field, the ants move in a deliberate line, turning the table into something closer to a scene than a plain object. What keeps it from becoming novelty is the restraint of the structure itself. The cut-outs in the legs echo the organic shapes above, so the entire wooden coffee table feels internally resolved. Even with the humour, the composition stays crisp, with the cork and the tiny dark figures carrying most of the visual charge.
