Takin translates the presence of Bhutan’s national animal into a chair of unusual poise, built around a ribbed, solid teak frame that rises and loops in one continuous gesture. The structure evokes curved horns in a stylised, architectural manner, lending this designer wooden chair its sense of resilience and forward movement. Against that dark, tactile frame, the upholstered seat and rounded backrest introduce softness, volume, and a quieter human scale. The balance is carefully held, making it sculptural yet intimate. Rather than treating strength and comfort as opposites, Takin resolves them into a single, grounded form.
