Ball & Cylinder Lamp

The Ball & Cylinder Ombre piece is defined by the way its handblown glass holds colour and contour in a single, controlled gesture. The tall cylinder is drawn into a clear, upright chamber, while above it the amber sphere swells with a rounded, liquid tension, as if the glass were held at the point between breath and stillness. The ombre is especially beautiful in the making: amber gathers at the shoulder and crown like tea deepening in clear water, then thins gradually into transparency. Beneath the white linen shade of this designer table lamp, the brass base and inner stem keep the composition exact, letting the material itself remain the quiet spectacle.
