Ventos Floor Lamp

Ventos turns a simple floor lamp into a woven column of light. The metal frame disappears beneath closely wound natural jute rope, giving both the tall shade and the tapering base a continuous, finely striated surface. In daylight, it reads quiet and upright, almost monastic in its restraint. Switch it on, and the material begins to work differently. The rope filters the light in a softer, more porous way, with the glow gathering in the upper cylinder and returning again through the base below. That double illumination gives the piece its identity. There is craft in the wrap, but also real control in the proportions, which keep the lamp slender, warm, and composed.
