Wooden Carved Side Board - Blue/ Pink Distressed and Antiqued

About the product

Distressed and antiqued blue and pink give this carved sideboard a soft, painterly surface, the colours worn back to reveal the carving across its facade. The effect is closer to an old painted panel than a piece of new furniture. The carving is elaborate and covers the front in full, cut into solid wood in a master artisan's workshop. The antiquing settles into its depth unevenly, so colour and texture shift across the whole facade. At 154.9 cm wide, 43.2 cm deep, and 101.6 cm high, it offers generous storage and suits a long dining room wall or a wide hallway, where its scale and colour can anchor the room. Made in India by Indune - Hands Of The Maker, the sideboard reflects the studio's collector's eye for carved Indian furniture with a painted, lived-in finish.

The maker

Indune - Hands Of The Maker

Indune - Hands Of The Maker

Indune began in Udaipur in the late 1990s, and still carries the original impulse: keep Indian craft visible, usable, and contemporary. The furniture and home objects are chosen with a collector's eye. Retro-leaning silhouettes, rare curios, lived-in finishes that make a space feel assembled over time, not styled overnight. It's a reminder that Indian design isn't only about the new. Sometimes it's about the hand, the story, and the object itself.
