Vintage Wooden Floral Carved Candle Holder with a stand

Floral carving runs across this wooden candle holder, and its distressed antique finish softens the motifs as though years of handling had worn them. Wider than it is deep, the piece has a long, low profile on its stand. The carving is where the maker's hand shows most clearly. Each floral motif varies slightly in depth and line, and the distressing settles differently into each, so no two holders look quite alike. At 45.7 cm wide and only 15.2 cm deep, it suits a mantelpiece, a narrow console, or the centre of a long dining table, where lit candles bring the floral detail forward. Made in India by Indune - Hands Of The Maker, it carries the studio's instinct for carved forms and antique finishes that feel found rather than newly bought.
