Mojari Bootjack

The Mojari Bootjack extends from a broad, paddle-like body into two slender prongs, drawing its form from the traditional North Indian mojari. Sand-cast and hand-finished in brass and aluminium, the elongated piece rests on a separate crescent-shaped support when not in use. The forked end enables hands-free removal of shoes, connecting the object to the custom of leaving footwear at the entrance. For someone drawn to footwear design, the mojari reference also makes it a thoughtful gift for a shoe collector.
