Distressed Finish Vintage Wooden Window

About the product

A vintage wooden window in reclaimed wood, finished in distressed white to bring out the character of the timber. Its weathered surface and simple architectural form give it the feel of an original salvaged element rather than a newly made decorative piece. The proportions, 68.6 cm wide by 91.4 cm high, give the window a strong vertical presence on the wall. Display it as a standalone piece, above a console, or alongside mirrors, artwork, and other collected objects. The shallow 7.6 cm depth allows it to sit close to the wall while retaining the substance of an architectural fragment. The distressed finish is intentionally uneven, allowing the reclaimed wood to remain part of the visual story. Grain, surface variation, and signs of the material's previous life give each piece its own character. No two pieces land exactly the same. Made in India by Indune - Hands Of The Maker, the window reflects the studio's fondness for reclaimed materials and old-world forms that bring a sense of history to a room assembled over years.

Indune - Hands Of The Maker

Indune began in Udaipur in the late 1990s, and still carries the original impulse: keep Indian craft visible, usable, and contemporary. The furniture and home objects are chosen with a collector's eye. Retro-leaning silhouettes, rare curios, lived-in finishes that make a space feel assembled over time, not styled overnight. It's a reminder that Indian design isn't only about the new. Sometimes it's about the hand, the story, and the object itself.
